Japanese tomato farmer (of Soga Farm) and Twitter user @pasmal0220's tomatoes and tomato juice are known for the quality, having taken the top prize at the Vegetable Sommelier Summit. But as every farmer (and those who have accidentally grown one of Japan's viral "sexy" daikons) will tell you, despite the taste, not every vegetable you grow ends up looking the way you intended it to.

That doesn't mean they're unwanted, however. @pasmal0220 recently made a rather heartwarming post sharing some of their "deformed" tomatoes that have gotten some unexpected attention on Twitter.

While they're definitely interesting an even adorable at first glance, @pasmal0220 relays that they didn't imagine them to be quite as popular as they turned out to be initially:

As it turns out, there are no ugly ducklings in the tomato world, as many in the replies are looking forward to taking home an oddly shaped tomato of their own some day.
