Demon Slayer character-inspired okonomiyaki released in Japan
Hit anime and manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba isn't exactly lacking in merchandise, especially after its feature film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train officially claimed the title of the highest grossing movie of all time in Japan.
One piece of merchandise we've yet to see is the protective carrier case Tanjiro uses to carry around his sister Nezuko during the daytime (although some clever fans have created bookcases modeled after it). Well, Demon Slayer fans can cross that wish off the list, as Japanese hobby retailer Movic is releasing a suitcase designed to look just like Nezuko's box.
The suitcase is a recreation of Tanjiro's box used to carry Nezuko, and while it isn't exactly a backpack, it has a lightweight body that can be used both vertically and horizontally, a handle that can be adjusted in three stages, four wheels with casters, and a three-digit dial lock system.
The travel sticker-style design of each character inside the case is also a treat for fans. The simple wooden aesthetic blends in well with interiors, so it is recommended not only as a carry-on but also for storing goods--perhaps your Demon Slayer manga volumes.
Reservations for the Tanjiro's box suitcase can be made at the Movic online store beginning July 7th. It will also be available from Animate stores throughout Japan.
