Japanese photographer Usadanu (@usalica) explores Kyoto and its surrounding areas, often capturing stunning seasonal scenery of shrines and temples that sometimes looks straight out of a Studio Ghibli film.

Lately Usadanu has been using their exceptional photography skills to showcase JR (Japan Railways) Tokai's Hikari no Kyoto event, which uses traditional bamboo lanterns to give shrines and temples in Kyoto famous for brilliant fall scenery a glowing makeover.

The talented photographer recently shared some breathtaking shots from the event featuring Kyoto's "hidden" Anshoji Temple. Usadanu captures the illumination at its peak splendor, turning the temple grounds and its torii gate into a golden marvel many on Twitter are describing as "divine."

The already vibrant autumn leaves look even more awesome when drenched in the golden light of the lanterns, and while the temple grounds and torii gate are entrenched in their natural surrounding, they seem to look as if they've appeared from another world in the display. Simple bamboo lanterns providing such a radiant sight is truly breathtaking!
