Godzilla Is Celebrating His New Movie With His Own Commemorative Whisky
You've probably seen a movie in 3D at the theaters before, but what about 4D? It’s a luxurious experience that stimulates all your senses with moving chairs, smells, and even sprays of water, which actually makes a perfect way to help promote McDonald's Japan's new burger.
To succeed in this unprecedented endeavor, McDonald's Japan had to gather expertise on how to produce unforgettable 3D/4D movies. They decided to look to the movie Star Trek which came out in Japan last winter achieving huge success, delivering a strong storyline and an extraordinary cinematic experience that included spacecrafts flying over the audience's heads one after another. Getting both inspiration and knowledge from this hit movie, McDonald's Japan finally completed and released their first ever “4D burger promo movie" in theaters on February 21st, titling it “Yakki The Movie.”

The “Yakki" burger is their newest food on the menu. The word “Yakki"(ヤッキー) is an abbreviation of “Shoga-yaki,” a popular pork and ginger dish that is often made in Japanese households.
The burger is packed with a juicy pork patty grilled with ginger and soy sauce-based Japanese sauce.

It also contains fresh and crunchy lettuce and onions.

As for the 4D burger promo movie, the audience can get a mouthwatering whiff of the exact smell of the Yakki burger from their seats, a scented blend of salt, ginger, and black pepper. While the pork patty pops out of the screen as it cooks, its juiciness is physically felt by means of a gentle spray of water to the face.

The story of the movie is based on Star Trek members piloting through space. The audience dives along with the crew members into the "surprising taste" of their first bite of the Yakki burger. Not only are the visuals extremely high-quality and crisp, but the 4D experience allows the whole body to “feel the burger.”

Although it's unlikely that McDonald's Japan will be booking theaters to show their delicious 4D movie nationwide, the Yakki burger can be devoured by anyone who visits their local McDonald's.
For anyone who didn't make it to the theater or lives outside Japan, here is a 2D movie version.
