The International Paralympic Committee has launched a new campaign over TikTok to celebrate 1 year to go until the Tokyo 2021 Paralympic Games.
Following the devastation caused by COVID-19, the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games have been moved forwards one year so that they are now scheduled to take place during the summer of 2021.
The campaign is entitled もっと強くなるために (translation: To Be Even Stronger), and is aimed at raising awareness and support for the Paralympic athletes through SNS.
Starting on TikTok, the campaign challenges supporters to post their own video to the short video platform using the hashtag #もっと強くなるために. The International Paralympic Committee invites people to post videos that show them working hard, whether it be in sports, at study or at work.
These videos will be collected under the hashtag, and it is hoped that they will keep both the Paralympic athletes and the public inspired and motivated throughout these turbulent times.
The campaign is open to people of all backgrounds, and will also include participation from Paralympic athletes across the globe. So keep doing you and help the global community by taking part in the もっと強くなるために campaign!
