Ginzan Onsen (銀山温泉, Silver Mountain Hot Spring) is located in the mountains of Yamagata prefecture. While the traditional hot spring and surrounding town are splendid anytime of year due to traditional inns preserving the charm of Japan's Taisho Era (1912-1926), it's particularly gorgeous in the winter as the hot spring town becomes blanketed in snow.
Japanese photographer Kurizaki @_taka_21) has perfectly captured that in a set of photos that will have you feeling the cold yourself, and perhaps even being spirited away back in time.

Many have been blown away by the beautiful shots Kurizaki was able to snap, comparing it to a fairytale world or a winter version of Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away.
