While the current seasonal star of McDonald's Japan's menu is its popular winter croquette burger topped with Angus beef Bolognese sauce, the chain recently introduced a lineup of cheeseburgers that included a Spicy Double Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger Sausage McMuffin, Triple Cheeseburger, and a new Rich White Double Cheeseburger.

Comparing it to the regular Double Cheeseburger, you can see the main difference is in the name, as the new Rich White Double Cheeseburger uses white cheddar cheese and mildly flavored Monterey Jack cheese sauce to give the standard Double Cheeseburger a luxurious creamy and rich upgrade fitting of the winter season.

We found the extra creamy and mild cheese flavor to be surprisingly refreshing, and even a tad bit sweet which complemented the beefy patties quite well, while still living up to the richness of its name!
