After a tiring day at work, there's nothing like coming home to find a hot plate of food waiting for you. And in the case of dumpling lovers, there might be no better dish than a steaming hot serving of gyoza.
While Japanese Twitter user Guretan (@guretan_25) recently got to experience that comforting welcome home, her feelings of appreciation probably took a backseat to shock, as the moment she got back she laid eyes upon a kind of gyoza she had never seen before. Guretan says she had told her husband she was really tired coming home from work, and that at home he waited for her with a batch of gyoza he prepared for her.
But what greeted her at home were the biggest gyoza she had ever seen, so big that they've got gyoza fanatics all over Twitter drooling.

Apparently Guretan thought his wife needed a very big post-work pick-me-up, as the gigantic gyoza he's prepared are comically huge! Guretan writes that her husband made the monster gyoza from hand, including the dumpling skin, and used the ingredients necessary to make roughly 40 normal-sized gyoza. While their humongous size made them take quite a while to cook, Guretan says that the gyoza turned out juicy and delicious, and even had cheese in them. Although it was her first time having to eat gyoza with a knife...

The massive gyoza have become a huge hit on Twitter, with many calling them gyoza dogs or gyoza sleeping bags, as well as praising the husband's thoughtfulness--although maybe next time some forewarning might be appreciated!
