These Pencil Drawings Of Japanese Celebrities Look Just Like Photographs
Katsuhiro Otomo is one of the living masters of manga best known for Akira, a manga series set in a post-apocalyptic Neo-Tokyo. Famous worldwide for his work, he has won various awards including the 2015 Grand Prix de la ville d’Angoulême, the first manga artist to ever receive the award.
In tribute to this extremely popular and acclaimed manga legend, a group exhibition of works inspired by Otomo was recently organized by the International Comics Festival 2016 and the Galerie Glénat. 42 artists have contributed their artwork to this exhibition, all of which will be displayed during the festival and later in Paris for the summer of 2016.
