There is no competition when it comes to companionship in the nurturing and growing process between a mother and her baby during pregnancy, but the Mother Book can make a case for honorable mention. It's a charming pregnancy diary that changes shape in unison with a mother's journey through pregnancy.

Kishokai Medical Corporation collaborated with advertising agency Dentsu to promote their birthing facilities with this unique log of a mother's pregnancy. The Mother Book contains 40 pages, one for every week of a typical pregnancy. Progressing through the book will reveal topographical cutouts of a woman's body that gradually change shape, designed to reflect a mother's progression through pregnancy. On each page is a space for the mother to record her feelings and thoughts during that week, as well as an explanation of the baby's status.
Written on their online shop is the following message:
While the international order site is currently under construction, it bodes well for availability outside of Japan. The Mother Book comes in two versions--the original priced at 30,000 yen ($263 USD) and 3,980 yen ($35 USD). The book is designed gorgeously, and can hopefully be a way to record just as beautiful memories for a mother and her child.
