Japanese Apartment Building With Train Station On First Floor Is Either Most Convenient Or Most Annoying

We've introduced the popular Japanese YouTube series Miniature Space before, where miniature versions of Japanese dishes are prepared in tiny portions using miniature utensils and kitchen space, but their recent video of one of our favorite Japanese foods may be their most impressive yet: Oyakodon.

Oyakodon may not be the first thing to spring to mind when you think of Japanese food, but it is definitely a time-tested staple (定番) dish that brings a healthy smile and a full belly to many in Japan. The Japanese rice bowl dish is topped in chicken, egg (the name literally translates to "parent and child rice bowl"), and onions simmered together in sauce. In the world of delicious Japanese donburi (rice bowls), it just might be the Godfather--and it looks just as good miniaturized in this hypnotic video!
