American chains Starbucks and Krispy Kreme took a smooth train while entering the Japanase market, people were already excited for them because coffee and donuts had already existed for a long time. Unfortunately, not pretzels. The soft pretzel still remains a mystery for the japanese snack circuit, and many people have probably not even heard about it.
Nevertheless, America’s popular pretzel chain Auntie Anne’s wants the Japanese folks to believe in this interesting snack by fitting their constant cycle of seasonal flavor - Matcha. Recent hits have included strawberry, maple and milk cream-flavor, and now it is their first time getting on the matcha green tea sweets trend.
