From Kit Kat sushi to gold-plated Kit Kats, it's no secret that Japan regularly releases limited edition Kit Kat flavors that can at times sound a bit jarring. Many of these Kit Kats are sold only at the Kit Kat Chocolatory Store located in Ginza, and while those who don't live near the Tokyo area lament, the exclusive branch will soon be coming out with yet another flavor — one with a rich chocolate cake filling.

The new chocolatey treat has been named the Kit Kat Chocolatory Gateau Mignon and will be making its way to the Ginza store cafe on July 25th. It's the masterpiece of Japanese pastry chef Yasumasa Takagi, who spent over a year of trial and error in perfecting the unprecedented Kit Kat flavor. Not surprisingly, the cake filling is delicious on its own, and anyone who purchases a box of 3 (1,458 yen/USD$13) or 6 (2,916 yen/USD$26) from July 25th-30th will get to try a piece for free.

But the chocolate cake Kit Kat isn't all there is to be excited about. The Chocolatory Store cafe will be releasing a brand new menu that includes a refreshingly cool Kit Kat Parfait and a plate of Kit Kat bars cooled to sub-zero temperatures for a truly summery treat.
