You can always count on Pringles to challenge unusual flavors in Japan. Just recently we've seen Fish and Chips and even Ramen flavored Pringles released.
However, two years ago Pringles Japan decided to not simply challenge a new flavor, but to enter the world of instant noodles, releasing sour cream and onion yakisoba and onion and jalapeno potato chip ramen. Now they're doubling down with their new "Super Cup Big Serving: Super Sour Cream and Onion Yakisoba"!
The release is a spinoff of the new "Super" Sour Cream and Onion Pringles released in Japan, taking the flavor of the new chips and recreating it as Japan's favorite fried noodle dish. The soup has a particularly strong onion and garlic base, and is then topped off by the packaged sour cream powder and parsley and onion packets the noodles come with.
The release is a collaboration with popular instant ramen brand Super Cup. Released alongside the yakisoba will be actual Pringles potato chips. One is Torigara Shoyu Ramen, or chicken bone soy sauced flavored Pringles, which replicate the rich, salty, and thick broth found in Super Cup ramen, as well as an Aged Miso Ramen flavor.
All three will be released in Japan starting December 14th at convenience stores throughout the country.
