IKEA isn’t just famous for trendy flatpack furniture, the store has also become known for offering delicious food to their famished shoppers. Some people even just pop in for lunch, without buying any homeware at all. Not only that, but IKEA Japan have been offering some lovely seasonal menu items at a reasonable price throughout the year. Spring saw them come over all pink for cherry blossom season, and this month they’ve unveiled an awesome Halloween lineup.

There’s bat pancakes perfect for wannabe vampires (700 yen).

The pumpkin tart is perfect for autumn (390 yen).

The black cat pudding is super spooky with a cat eye staring up at you (290 yen).

For a colourful option, the Halloween doughnuts are weirdly cute (200 yen).

But it’s back to creepy with the grotesque finger cookies with almond ‘nails’ (120 yen).

Sweet potato fans can go for the Halloween soft serve which is beni imo flavoured and has a purple and black colour scheme (120 yen).

The ‘Bloody Sundae’ has a finger cookie and raspberry sauce to create a suitably scary ice cream (250 yen).

There’s even an exclusive snack appearing at the IKEA Harajuku branch, the ‘Bloody Tunnbröd’ (390 yen).

Some of these can be found in the IKEA restaurant while others are only at branches with a bakery or bistro, check out the IKEA Japan website for full menu. These spooky treats will available until 31st October 2021.
