Story My Japan exhibition shows Japan through the eyes of 9 international photographers

Bitchu Kokubunji Temple is located in Soja City, Okayama prefecture, and needs no added flourish to be a source of great photography. It's said to be the last five-story pagoda built in Japan, and overlooking lush green scenery and cherry blossoms in the spring, it's always a visual crowd pleaser.
So while photographer Kadowaki (@Os__0114) didn't have to wait for a particular season to snap a nice shot, they did put a lot of work into capturing one they and others have described on Twitter as a miracle shot.

"I was able to capture the miraculous moment of a large fire ball hurling into a five-story pagoda."
Kadowaki took the perfectly-timed shot last year during a meteor shower, staying up from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the next morning the capture just the right moment. Their work paid off, delighting many online who have compared the gorgeous picture to a dramatic opening scene found in anime and movies, leaving in impressed comments.
"Isn't this the moment when the adventure begins in a game or anime?"
"It's wonderful! This is the moment of a miracle."
"It's such a powerful picture."
