Four Season Sake Brings You The Best Bottle Of Japanese Sake For Every Season
Japan's cherry blossom (sakura) season has pretty much wrapped up, giving way to increasingly warmer weather and the looming rainy season. However, for as long as those beautiful sakura bloomed, those in Japan were able to enjoy a bevy of cherry blossomed themed snacks and drinks, as well as truly stunning nighttime sakura scenery. If you're ever lucky enough to travel to Japan during cherry blossom season, you'll also be able to partake in hanami (cherry blossom viewing) that seems to leave no part of the country untouched by brilliant color. Russian photographer and engineer Kristina Makeeva recently went on a trip to Japan that may be the best proof of that yet!
Himeji Castle
In a post to Bored Panda, Makeeva likens her trip during to Japan during cherry blossom season to a fairy tale of pink madness. Her wonderful photography certainly shows that and more, as she captures not only Japan's iconic pink sakura, but the brilliant sea of 4.5 million baby blue eye flowers at Hitachi Seaside Park, the timeless streets of Gion, Kyoto, and some cheeky deer in Nara. Check out some highlights below, as well as at Makeeva's Instagram for more photography, not just in Japan.
