Last week Starbucks fans in Japan got a Halloween treat when Starbucks Japan announced the release of bloody red masquerade-themed Frappuccinos, but Starbucks teased a special release on October 18th that has now been brought to light: The Dark Night Frappuccino!
The Dark Night Frappuccino uses the same base recipe as the Red Night version, a sweet and sour red berry sauce (a blend of raspberry, cranberry, and strawberry) along with a white chocolate brownie, although this time they are loading it up with an extra dark black cacoa powder for the "dark night" aesthetic. At 5:22 p.m. (sunset time) on October 18th, Starbucks Japan will release the new Frappuccinos with accompanying winged mask cup stands so the drinks themselves can dress up.
Both the Dark Night and Red Night Masquerade Frappuccinos will be available at Starbucks throughout Japan until October 31st.
