Japanese artists summon anti-plague demon to battle coronavirus



While the originally scheduled July release of the latest Neon Genesis Evangelion film, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, is currently on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, the iconic anime series is still rolling out a number of celebratory collaborations. The world's first canned coffee maker is decorating its labels with series characters, Fender is releasing a limited edition Asuka Telecaster, and there are even new Evangelion-themed Tamagotchi that let you raise Angels as digital pets.

All three will be released at stores throughout Japan for a limited time starting May 18th.
