The news of Seattle Mariners pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma throwing a no-hitter against the Orioles on August 12, 2015 has been creating some excitement in his home country as well.
Iwakuma became the second Japanese pitcher to do a no-hitter in the major league - the first was Hideo Nomo in September 1996 (he managed to do it again in April 2001).

Both Nomo and Iwakuma is from Kintetsu (Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes, a team belonging to the Japanese Pacific League). As an avid Kintetsu fan I'm so proud of him.
