Halloween is just around the corner, so let's take a look at how the annual spooky night goes down in the sleepless city of Tokyo!
The concept of trick or treating is pretty non-existent in Japan, so most celebrations of Halloween boil down to costume-themed parties and going wild for the night. And for that there may be no better host than the famous Shibuya crossing in the heart of Tokyo, where every year a horde of elaborate costumers can be seen gearing up for an evening of frightful fun. While we haven't quite gotten to this year's event, maybe you can get a taste of it by checking out Tokyo Fashion's video recap of last year. It shows off some genius costumes while giving you a very good feel for the night's festivities in Japan!
So enjoy a look at all the great costumes and antics that should give you a taste of what is to come this month . While Halloween isn't huge in Japan, it just makes sense that the home of cosplay would knock this aspect of Halloween out of the park. The video is below, and if you prefer, some screencaps of highlights.
