Japanese rice balls (onigiri or musubi) come in all shapes an sizes (even dessert cakes!), but one of the appealing traits of the traditional Japanese snack is that you can easily make them at home with any filling you like. Lately some creative rice ball artists have even been making super realistic cats with their onigiri.
Japanese cooking enthusiast Non) recently discovered the canine equivalent to that on her table. The high school student recently shared on Twitter that her mother had prepared a special meal for her :a super realistic and adorable rice ball recreation of the family dog! One so real the actual toy poodle couldn't help but take interest.

Non loves cooking and cafe treats, so she's gung-ho about cooking the household meals three times a day. She's probably happy her mom helped her out this time though, as it resulted in the picture perfect rice ball replication of their beloved toy poodle. The dog's curly hair is reproduced with shaved bonito flakes, the nose with what looks to be Japanese pickled plum, and the eyes are made out of boiled seaweed preserve.
It's not the first time the pooch has been the model for delicious snacks. The dog has cute oatmeal cookie on their resume as well!
