Fans of mega-popular anime and manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba have to be pleased with the efforts of Bandai's prop and replica brand "Proplica". Known for their full scale and highly detailed recreations of famous weapons from anime, Proplica has been giving Demon Slayer some very good treatment, including full scale replicas of the Nichirin blades wielded by Tanjiro and Rengoku, both of which play quotes and music from the anime.
Those who prefer a little Thunder Breathing with the anime swords need no wait any longer, as Bandai and Proplica have announced the release of yet another Demon Slayer sowrd, this time a full scale replica of Zenitsu Agatsuma's Nichiren Blade that has a quick drawing iaijutsu mechanism.
The full scale replica is 880mm in total length, and faithfully recreates the lightning patterns on the blade in the anime. It also comes equipped with the ability to play 60 different sounds, including Zenitsu's famous lines (these include screaming in fear, fawning over Nezuko, and attack names), sound effects, and background music.
This is also Proplica's first Demon Slayer sword that comes with a sheath, and that's because it comes uses a magnetic sensor to recreate Zenitsu's quick drawing iaijutsu in unison with attack names and sounds.
The replica Zenitsu Nichirin blade is currently available for pre-order reservation from Premium Bandai (priced at 13,200 yen) with delivery scheduled for December. Those outside of Japan may want to keep an eye out at Premium Bandai's international store.
