Fresh off the heels of their horror-themed ceremonial first pitch and awesome Instagram account, the terrifying but hilarious promotional campaign train of Kayako (Ju-on, The Grudge) and Sadako (The Ring) for their crossover film continues to roll along. This time the ghostly trio of Sadako, Kayako, and Kayako's son Toshio are showing off their spooky dance moves in the music video for the movie's official theme song.

The upcoming horror crossover, which started as an April Fool's joke, has launched a marketing campaign that has embraced the absurdity and fun of the two most iconic Japanese movie ghosts going head to head. So it's only fitting that heavy metal band Sekima-II (聖飢魔II) is responsible for the film's official theme song. The band is rooted in demonic lore, and their leader and vocalist Demon Kakka (デーモン閣下, AKA His Excellency Demon) is famous for performing entirely in character as an akuma, founder of a demonic religion, and the vice-king of Hell. But perhaps the wackiest thing in the music video for this official theme, titled " 呪いのシャ・ナ・ナ・ナ" (Noroi no sha na na na,THE CURSE OF SHANA・NA・NA), is how Toshio, Kayako's ghostly son, steals the show with his dance moves.

You can watch Toshio's creepy kid dance moves in either of two videos, but particularly this "dance version" music video that shows off some beyond-the-grave choreography.
Those of you hoping to see more of the lead ghosts, have no fear. Sadako and Kayako tear it up as a heavy metal band and even do some dancing of their own in the official music video!

While we probably won't find out what percentage horror and comedy Sadako vs. Kayako will end up being until the film's release on June 18th, it's refreshing to see a Japanese film have this much fun with its marketing, and what started out as a simple April Fool's joke has turned into promotional roller coaster that has many excited to find out where its all leading.
