Often billed as the traditional culture center of Japan, Kyoto is home to a plethora of beautiful temples, shrines, and especially gardens. One of the most lush and tranquil gardens is Tenjuan Garden, located on the grounds of Nanzenji Temple. The mossy rock garden and pond are often sought after as a reprieve from the bustling crowds of Kyoto.
Talented Japanese photographer Yukari (@mitsuyuka_lp) recently shared some amazing photos of the gorgeous garden that are getting comparisons to beautiful artwork from the likes of Hayao Miyazaki and Makoto Shinkai.
Yukari posted them saying "In Kyoto there's a world like Studio Ghibli..."

Kyoto is often praised for how distinctly the changing of seasons tends to "paint" a lot of its natural beauty, and Yukari certainly captured that here. Her other photography of Japan is just as impressive.
