Big burger eaters in Japan have definitely been treated to a lot of heavy duty options lately. Some recent hefty options have included Burger King's Tokyo Teriyaki Tower Super One Pound Beef Burger, First Kitchen's enormous FK All Star Burger, Eggslut's Big Slut burger, and Dom Dom's whole fried crab burger.
Now Hawaiian hamburger chain Teddy’s Bigger Burgers is adding yet another contended for the biggest mouthful of a burger in the country to two of its locations in Japan. Their new Giant Chicken Katsu Burger is sure to be a big hit with fans of chicken katsu, but also poses quite a challenge in picking it up.
The new monstrous burger takes a giant crispy chicken katsu (breaded chicken cutlet) cutlet that Teddy’s Bigger Burgers calls not large or extra large, but "astonishing size", and tops it with tomato, lettuce, onion, and what appears to be mayonnaise and katsu sauce. These are all placed in between their original buns, which clearly aren't adjusted in size to match the cutlet.
While the Giant Chicken Katsu Burger can be ordered by a single bold eater, it might be better to order as a group other, like several other Teddy’s Bigger Burgers burgers are. The Giant Chicken Katsu Burger is available at the Harajuku Omotesando and Yokohama Kouhoku North Port Mall locations, priced at 1,496 yen in a set or 1,188 yen for the burger alone (there's currently a 100 yen discount).
